Inagua and Little Inagua are the southern most islands
in the archipelago. Here you’ll find one of
the world’s largest colonies of flamingos –
50,000 plus – part of a stunning bird population
that includes the rare Bahamian parrot. Wild boars
and donkeys also roam the mineral rich island which
is home to The Morton Salt Company. Morton extracts
nearly a million pounds of salt annually by solar
evaporation of salt beds.
